In an attempt to prove that there were people here once.... I think.

The Thaw and the Bloom
-------------------------
I once mentioned to a few friends that when I arrived in June of 2006, it felt like Activeworld was locked in a glacier of sorts. It wasnt stagnant so much as just frozen in time. The events of the past, that I was never a part of, had stopped citizens in their tracks like some forever terminal lag. I remember thinking when I arrived that if the cost was less than a hundred bucks a year, I was in! It was worth it! ..for me anyways, I was later to find a deep resentment to a cost that was much less. Im still not sure if I understand that, but I wasnt here then.
Time moved on and in my view of things it wasnt until the AWGate contest did citizens finally realize that we actually had a community and if we stopped thinking we didnt, we might actually make something for ourselves.
I call this the time of the thaw, when the ice finally broke free and talented citizens went forth in Activeworlds with a new resolve and a new zeal for VR life.
It was just thawing, though. I dont believe spring arrived to Activeworlds until sometime around the mars competition. It came slow as the ol' timers realized that the economy had caught up with the price of admission and finally stopped griping about it. Took a while though.
We went through some heavy storms and weathered some rough times, but I think its summer now (err.. sorry to those folks down under, but you know) I think the ice has finally receded and we're seeing a true blooming across Activeworlds.
Its nice.
I dont know what the future has in store for our little community, but its nice to sit in the sunshine.

Seiya is making a name for yourself these days with her new series
AW Cribs: Starbuilds Edition Ep.2 ~ Passion Pt.1
Its a gritty, sexy look into one of her homes called Passion. Seiya blends the raw sexiness of the character into the flowing surreal curves of the architecture. Pardon the expression, "Builds to visit while stoned!"

I have always been impressed with Seiya's work. Skillfully flowing, with a heavy dose of mysteriousness. Like out of the shadows she returned and Im still fascinated by what she can do.
Take a look at her new series, definately the start of something special and check out Passion.
Bring a friend.

Legion is also adding his 2 cents with the introduction of his new feature,
Legion's Picks of the Day
Its a selection of his favorite places in Activeworlds.
Very cool.
I was trying that with the blog adventures, but became way overwhelmed with them. Im glad to see more citizens coming forward to give their opinion but then, Legion is no stranger to that.
Kudos, Legion and I look forward to hearing and seeing what you find cool.

...I'll leave it like this for now.
